Lynden, Washington is located in the mild climate of northwest Washington, just five miles from the Canadian border and 15 miles north of Bellingham. The natural beauty of Mt. Baker and the San Juan Islands, plus the metropolitan attractions of Seattle and Vancouver, B.C., all are within two hours.
Lynden's Dutch heritage was established as settlers from Holland began to arrive in the early 1900s. The results of their hardy work ethic are still seen today in the area's successful dairy and berry farms, plus its well-maintained homes. At one point in Lynden's history they use to hold the record for the highest amount of churches per capita of it's population.
