Bellingham School District No. 501
The largest of seven school districts in Whatcom County, Bellingham covers 97 square miles and has 73,000 residents. Approximately 10,400 students are enrolled in the district. Thirteen elementary schools serve students grades K - 5; four middle schools serve students grades 6 - 8; and three high schools serve students in grades 9 - 12. A small alternative high school is also available, as well as preschool and post-high school programs for students with disabilities. Approximately 700 professional educators and 550 instructional assistants and support staff. More than 88% of the faculty have more than five years of college or hold master's degrees; many are leaders in their field and have received local, state, and national honors.

Ferndale School District No. 502
Ferndale School District has a proud tradition of excellence whether it is in the classroom, on the playing field or on a stage. Five schools have received National Awards of Excellence, and Ferndale's Native American education program has been recognized nationally by the U.S. Department of Education.

Blaine School District No. 503
All of Blaine's schools have consistently received national recognition for excellence. Some of the school district support programs which include technology resources, learning assistance programs, special education, math championships, education for the homeless and drug & alcohol counseling. The Blaine School District serves the City of Blaine and surrounding area including Birch Bay and has approximately 2,000 students.

Lynden School District No. 504
The Lynden School District is home to approximately 2,350 full time students and is comprised office schools; Fisher Primary, Isom Intermediate, Lynden Middle School and Lynden High School. Lynden is consistently recognized for its small class sizes and exceptional staff.

Meridian School District No. 505
The Meridian School District is very much a county school district and is home to approximately 1,500 students. The Meridian District is home to four schools and highly excelled in providing students with a wonderful sense of community and teacher to student relationships. There are also wonderful programs for students with disabilities and educational barriers.

Nooksack Valley School District No. 506
The Nooksack School District is home to 1,850 students and two primary schools, a junior and senior high school. The District offers a high level of curriculum and encourages their students to further develop their educational experiences.

Mount Baker School District No. 507
The Mount Baker School District has the largest of seven school districts in Whatcom County, Bellingham covers 97 square miles and has 73,000 residents. The community is very involved in supporting the school district and often time the whole town willshow up for school events.
